By using shadeandsignal.com (“the site”), published by Iron Mako Media (“we”), you agree to these terms. They are short because the site is simple: it is a publication, not a store or a service.

1. What the site is

The site publishes editorial guidance about smart glasses — camera, audio and display eyewear — for people deciding which pair to buy. It is general information written for a non-specialist audience. It is not professional optical, legal or medical advice, and it does not know your prescription, your face, your workplace rules or your state's laws.

2. Recording, privacy law and your responsibility

Camera glasses record other people. Laws on recording audio and video vary by state and country, and venues (courts, schools, workplaces, gyms, cruise lines) set their own rules. Our privacy and legality pages explain the general framework and cite their sources; they are not legal advice, and decisions about when and where you record are yours. Prescription lenses should be ordered against a current prescription from a licensed eye-care professional; the prescription ranges we quote are the manufacturers' published figures at the time of writing and may change.

3. Product information

Product specifications, sizes, ratings and features are taken from manufacturers' and retailers' published pages as cited, and may change without notice. We do not test products and do not warrant that any product is suitable for you. Prices are not displayed; the retailer's live price governs. Product images are licensed stock photographs of the category, not of the specific item, unless stated.

Messages sent through the contact form are used to reply to you, as described in the privacy policy. Do not send anything you consider confidential; we have no duty of confidence beyond that policy.
