Open-ear speakers that let you hear traffic, a colleague, a child — the reason to choose them over earbuds. The assistant. Weight. Android Central's con list on the Gen 2 is short and blunt: “still too thick and heavy for non-techies.” If you have never worn a thick acetate frame, try one on before spending $300. Battery. “Up to 8 hours” is a light day; heavy music, video and AI is about five (Android Central measured ~20% per hour). The case fixes it, but only if you carry the case. The camera's social cost. Some people will not like it, some venues ban it, and a lawsuit and a nickname followed reports of misuse (Wikipedia). If that makes you hesitate, the camera-free pairs exist, and they are good.
